Why I Teach Yoga and Pilates
I was first introduced to yoga over 20 years ago, and from the very beginning, I immediately knew it would become a lifelong and essential part of who I am. It touched not only my body but also my heart and soul, teaching me how to breathe deeply and find calm through the difficult and often challenging times life can bring. This profound and transformative experience inspired me to share my passion and love for yoga with both my local community and the wider world.
In 2012, I committed myself to this path by completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training program. Since then, I have continuously expanded my knowledge and expertise through further specialized studies, including Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama, and Kundalini practices. In 2019, when my father was diagnosed with kidney cancer, I gained an even deeper understanding of the vital role that mindful movement and conscious breath play in helping us remain grounded, resilient, and present during some of life’s most difficult moments. This personal journey motivated me to pursue Reformer Pilates training, eventually earning certification in Cancer Exercise as well.
At the core of my teaching philosophy is an unwavering commitment to making movement — whether physical, spiritual, or mental — accessible and available to every BODY, regardless of age, ability, or background. My goal has always been to foster a supportive environment where everyone feels empowered to explore their own path to wellness.
